Stay With It Privacy Policy

Stay With It is made by Somalgos. The short version: what you write in the app stays on your iPhone. We collect a small amount of anonymous usage data to improve the app, and we never sell data, show ads, or track you across other apps and websites.

What stays on your device

Your first name, your goal and why it matters, your check-ins, your favorite quotes and the quotes you add yourself are stored only on your iPhone, inside the app and its widget. We do not have a server copy and cannot see them. If you use iCloud Backup or a computer backup, they are included in that backup like other app data, under Apple's control.

Reminders are scheduled on your device. If you pick a photo as the background of a quote card, you choose a single photo through Apple's photo picker; it is used on your device to make the card and is not uploaded by us.

Anonymous usage analytics

We use TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service based in Germany, to understand which features are used. The app sends events such as "check-in completed" or "widget added", together with:

• a random identifier created when you install the app, which is hashed on your device before it is sent and is not linked to your name, email or Apple ID;
• simple details about the event, such as which built-in quote was viewed or favorited, which screen something was opened from, or a rough range for how many days you have checked in (for example "7–29");
• basic technical details: app version, iOS version and device model, and whether you used the TestFlight beta.

We never send your name, your goal or why text, the quotes you write, or any photo. TelemetryDeck does not store IP addresses and does not use the data for advertising.

Community check-in count

The line on the home screen showing how many people stayed with it today comes from an anonymous counter. When you check in or undo a check-in, the app sends only "+1" or "−1" to our server, which runs on Cloudflare. No identifier, name or goal is included. Like any internet request, your IP address is visible to Cloudflare to deliver the request and prevent abuse; we do not store it alongside the count.

Things you choose to send

• Category suggestions. If you suggest a quote category, the text you type is sent anonymously to a Google Form we use to collect ideas. Please do not include personal details.
• Feedback email. "Send feedback" opens your own email app addressed to [email protected]. The message includes the app version, iOS version, device model and whether it is a TestFlight or App Store build. We use your email only to reply.
• Sharing. When you share a quote, it goes wherever you send it through Apple's share sheet. We only learn that a share happened and which card style was used.
• TestFlight. If you are a beta tester, Apple may share crash reports and feedback you submit through TestFlight with us, under Apple's privacy policy.

Premium

During the beta, nothing in Stay With It is paid. Tapping Premium only records that the screen was viewed or that you are interested, as anonymous analytics. If paid features are added, purchases will be handled by Apple and we will update this policy.

Children

Stay With It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices

• Delete the app to remove everything it stored on your iPhone.
• Analytics data is anonymous, so we cannot look it up for a specific person. TelemetryDeck keeps it in aggregated form.

Changes

If the app starts handling data differently, we will update this page and the date above before the change ships.
